Overview

Spitha Electrical ("spitha" is Greek for spark) is a concept site for a licensed electrician in Athens, built as a template for trades businesses. People usually look for an electrician when something has gone wrong, and usually on a phone. The goal was a page that builds trust quickly and makes calling or asking for a quote the obvious next step.

The challenge

  • Put the phone number one tap away from anywhere on the page, for urgent visitors.
  • List specific services, including Greek requirements such as the electrical installation certificate (ΥΔΕ) and EV charger paperwork for the grid operator (ΔΕΔΔΗΕ).
  • Collect quote requests with no server or monthly fees.
  • Serve Greek customers and English-speaking residents from one site.

Design

A navy and electric-yellow palette signals safety and reliability without looking like a warning sign. Everything is set in Manrope, a geometric sans with full Greek support, at heavy weights for headlines. The logo and favicon are a simple lightning bolt on a yellow tile. The photography was generated in Higgsfield around one consistent look: navy workwear, bright Mediterranean interiors, and hands and tools instead of faces, which keeps the focus on the work.

Features

  • Emergency strip: a yellow bar above the header with the 24/7 number, one tap to call.
  • Quote request form: name, phone, area, a service list and a description, sent as a pre-filled email, followed by a confirmation message.
  • Services: three photo cards (lighting and installations, EV chargers, inspections and certificates) and four smaller services.
  • Three-step process: call, free on-site estimate, certified work with a warranty.
  • Greek/English toggle: copy, image descriptions, form labels and placeholders all switch, and the choice is remembered.
  • Call button: dials on phones; on desktop it reveals and copies the number.

Built for every screen

Below 900px the hero, about and contact sections stack into one column, the service cards and reviews follow, and the header keeps only the language switch and the call button.

Performance and SEO

The site is one HTML file with inline CSS and vanilla JavaScript, with no framework or build step. The five photos are compressed JPGs of 200–440 KB with fixed dimensions to prevent layout shift, and every image below the hero is lazy-loaded. The page sets a meta description, the correct language for Greek and English, alt text in both languages and an SVG favicon.

Tech stack

HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, Google Fonts (Manrope), Higgsfield (AI imagery).
